Tennis Traders has effectively been serving the Pacific Northwest tennis community for 29 years. It all started in 1982 when Dan Moore purchased Mr. Tennis, which was owned by Australian Wayne Mason since the mid to late 1970's. Mr. Moore then renamed the business located in Northeast Portland to Players Racquet Shop. Mr. Moore then sold Players Racquet Shop to Brian Shrock in 1992. In the same year, Mr. Shrock then purchased Bob Seibel's business called Seibel's Racquet Shop which was located in Beaverton, Oregon. The acquisition of Seibel's Racquet Shop allowed Players Racquet Shop to sell tennis products to all of the Portland Metropolitan area by operating out of both East and West side locations. More recently in 2007 Courtside Tennis went out of business and the company was divided up and sold in pieces. Players Racquet Shop purchased a large majority of Courtside Tennis' inventory. In addition, Mr. Shrock then partnered with Geoffrey Pohl to purchase Courtside Tennis' Internet Business, known as Tennis Traders. Tennis Traders was dormant during this division of Courtside and has recently been revamped, refueled and currently sells all major tennis related products at the lowest possible price. With Mr. Pohl's vast Internet and business experiences and Mr. Shrock's lengthy retail and business experiences it was a perfect fit to bring high quality tennis products at the lowest possible price to the rest of the Tennis Trader nation.
